Jean-Marie Péan

Jean-Marie Péan is the Chairman of Bain & Company Middle East. He has been advising clients in the Middle East for over sixteen years and has led the development of Bain in the Middle East. His domains of expertise are portfolio and growth strategies for large family and publicly-held holding companies, redesign of operating models to align strategy and organization, integration of family and business models within the following industries: Automotive, consumer goods, defense, retail, tourism, steel, transport and logistics. Jean-Marie joined the firm in 1983 in London and was elected to the partnership in 1988. He opened the Brussels office in 1990, which he led until June of 1994. He led the Paris Office until 2001, and then moved to the Middle East. Particular domains of interest include supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Europe and the Middle East, and the growth of multinationals in developing markets (a subject that Jean-Marie is pursuing within the WEF?s Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals). In Saudi Arabia, Jean-Marie is also a board member of one of the largest family-owned conglomerates, advisor to the board of a large family office, and advisor to the board of a leading grocery retailer. Jean-Marie holds master?s degrees in law and economics, and graduated from Paris Institute of Political Sciences (SciencesPo) with honors. He also earned an MBA from HEC (France).
