Ihsan Jawad is a Partner at HBT Ventures. Prior to HBT Ventures, Mr. Jawad founded Zawya in 2000 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2010. He also served as Vice Chairman of Zawya from 2010 until 2012. At Zawya, he oversaw Zawya’s growth from start-up phase to becoming the leading business information services company in the MENA region. Prior to Zawya, he served as an Investment Banker at Merrill Lynch and previously, at Citigroup (formerly Schroeder’s) in London. Ihsan holds a B.Sc. and Masters in Physics from Imperial College, London.
