Ankur is Chief Financial Officer at Careem, a ride-hailing company creating opportunities for, and simplifying the lives of, people in the Greater Middle East. Careem is now operational in 16 countries and 95+ cities from Morocco to Pakistan and is the leading internet platform in the region. Previously, Ankur managed Education and India investments at Acumen Fund, an emerging markets venture fund for 7 years, and was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in New Jersey. He also built 25+ libraries in New York City public schools for Robin Hood Foundation, now serving ~20,000 students; and was part of the founding team at mondus.com, a marketplace for SMEs in the late 90s. Ankur holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, and a Master of Public Administration in International Development from Harvard’s Kennedy School where he was a Reynolds and a Soros Fellow.
