Duplays started small, a game of ultimate frisbee with 20 friends, but grew quick, now the largest sports provider in the region with more than 100,000 members across a number of leagues, events and tournaments.

Derv Rao graduated in 1998 from University of Toronto with a BSc in Sciences; shortly after, he completed his MBA from McMaster University. His professional experience includes working within the healthcare sector mainly at Johnson & Johnson. In 2007, he moved from Canada to Dubai where he felt a yearning to connect with like-minds to play team sports – that’s when he joined forces with Brian & Ravi to start Duplays.
