Khaled Al Huraimel is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Bee’ah and has served in this capacity since August 2009. His diligent and prompt leadership has facilitated Bee’ah’s growth from a local waste management company, to an award-winning, integrated environmental management establishment, that has raised the bar of sustainable living in the UAE.

His expertise and innovative business insights have stood Bee’ah in good stead, executing the company’s master plan for environmental sustainability, and of positioning Sharjah as a world-class city. Al Huraimel now heads a workforce of over 6000 employees, serving millions of residents, and numerous commercial establishments, across the region.

Considering Bee’ah’s position as a public-private partnership company, he has also been instrumental to forming collaborations with public and private entities, alike. Under Al Huraimel’s leadership, Bee’ah provides its services to government bodies like Abu Dhabi’s Tadweer, and formed a strategic partnership with Masdar towards the creation of revolutionary waste-to-energy plants. His diplomatic skills enabled Bee’ah to secure the rare support of the UK Export Finance, towards the development of Bee’ah’s iconic new headquarters, which was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Al Huraimel has been the driving force behind Bee’ah’s strategy for a circular economy, encouraging resource reclamation and profitability through advanced processing techniques. He has worked tirelessly to implement state-of-the-art projects on renewable energy generation, resource recovery and integrated waste management, enabling the company to achieve landfill diversion rates of up to %70, within a short time frame. He has also actively encouraged the pursuit of educational and awareness initiatives for the betterment of the community; and research opportunities with institutions like the American University of Sharjah, aimed at environmental preservation.
